Thu 21 Jan – AFI, Ceremony
I was thoroughly impressed with the entire show. It was my first time seeing both groups live so I was pretty pumped. Ceremony started off with a blast of fucking hatred that somewhat made me feel like I was witnessing a show straight out of the 80's hardcore era! The vocalist is very charismatic and cracked me up with his onstage antics. The best part was when he pulled his shirt over his face and screamed into the mic haha Classic. After seeing their intense performance I was very satisfied. And as I suspected the crowd was full of teeny AFI-ites that hadn't a clue who Ceremony were, and for the most part I don't think 85% of the people there knew who they were prior. Pretty sure they were thrown off and didn't know how to take their set which I found a bit entertaining in itself. But...thats life I guess...

Then AFI came out. Davey with his flamboyant self. Wearing a super flashy gold suit and elvis-esque hair, incredible. …
