In Kyiv DVA will play with Polish band Napszyklat!
On October 28 at 20:00 in concert-hall “Crystall Hall” (Kyiv, Dniprovskiy spusk, 1) a concert of Czech electro-acoustic duo DVA will be held within a large-scale nationwide tour. «Folk of nonexistent nation» was joyfully welcomed by Ukrainian public while last year visit of the band. The audience from Vinnytsya, Lviv, Khmelnitskiy, Ternopil and Kyiv were delighted from melancholy, ironic, surreal and unexpected compositions, created by two artists with two dozen music instruments. So this time on the tour map also Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kirovohrad, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovs’k, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Lutsk, St Petersburg and Moscow have appeared. This unprecedented expedition will be the largest round that he ever carried out by a foreign group in Ukraine!
Only in Kyiv DVA will join a Polish project “NaPszyklat”, combining hip-hop, noise and analog electronics. The last album of band includes a joint composition with "DVA", so joint perform is not accidental and their trance rhythms, where,as on the big and clear manufacture, everything and everyone - in place, will sound on stage with the folklore of non-existent people.
E-folk mix, with techno, hip-hop and country music, also will be accompanied by vjing of Marketa Lisa – one of the authors of incredible video clips DVA. So audience will spend the evening surrounded by amazing characters, fictional inhabitants of fairy-tale worlds. But perhaps these images will not seem so unfamiliar now as unrealistic, individual music DVA is also very archetypical. That’s why, traveling the world of fictional ethno, listener has a chance to appear on the waves of his own subconscious!
* Duo DVA - Jan Kratochvíl and Bára Kratochvílová – experimental electro-acoustic project of the Czech Republic. They present their own fabulous vision of music by a lot of ways. They have inspired by music of concert halls and circus, reproduce the tango through bitbox, decorate folk with clarinet. BBC music critic Charlie Hillett called debut album of DVA “Fonók”, also nominated for the prestigious Czech award "Angel", one of the best albums of 2009. And their third disc HU was successfully presented in over than 20 European countries.
