Mark your calendar for Fiesta Edinburg 2012 — it's set for Thursday, Feb. 23, through Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Edinburg Municipal Park.
Two headliners have been announced for the event: Jeremih and Dance Gavin Dance. Both will perform on the main stage Saturday, Feb. 25.
The single "Birthday Sex" peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and catapulted Jeremih into the hip-hop spotlight.
Post-hardcore rock band Dance Gavin Dance has been through a number of lineup changes with lead singer Jonny Craig responsible for most of the drama, due to his alleged drug abuse. In October, Craig was arrested for drug-related offenses. The band went on hiatus while Craig deals with his legal issues and rehab.
Fiesta Edinburg 2012 will feature the annual parade with the theme of "Fiesta" on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Other stages will host hip-hop, rock, alternative and tejano bands through the weekend. A carnival will be set up for the entire weekend with a special price of $5 for all-you-can-ride tickets for Thursday, Feb. 23.
