Nope... Never! I'm still missing the details of my Sunday morning between 3 and 9, though. But whatever, the parts I do remember make it one of the best nights of my life!

Love how everyone has crazy stories from. Meeting Jeff several times during the fest was great, he was so nice (tolerating my rabid fanboy self, and all the hugs that come with it...) and signed the NMH boxest I bought earlier. Meeting David Yow and having a hilarious moment together while having whiskey was fantastic. The guys from the Arkestra are always a joy and getting to hang with them again was a treat. Hanging out with Alan from Low, Eye, Robert Schneider, meeting the wonderful Matana Roberts, all the guys from Sebadoah. Just fantastic. And to add, all the fantastic people who attended. Everyone was just happy 24/7. There was a point in the weekend where we managed to synchronize 4 after parties in the same block , was pretty boss!

amazingly awesome weekend. still can't believe half the shit that happened. met jeff mangum and his missus on fri night/sat morning after the blues explosion, shook his hand and chatted about the line-up (he was gutted he missed the fall). scratch acid were fucking unbelievably awesome. and ended up at a chalet party on sunday night with all of the olivia tremor control and some of the guys from the sun ra arkestra. also, random other things - saw the magnetic fields playing mini golf, and all of the fall were in the pub all day sunday... also watched eye from the boredoms getting stopped by security for trying to bring beer cans into the festival site in his jacket, and then saw him at thebar in crazy horse doing shots at 3am...

BOREDOMS WERE THE BEST! I can't believe I missed half of Jeff's Sunday set queuing up though and when I got inside it wasn't even that full. Couldn't believe it! Was amazing the 30 mins I saw but it should have been an hour and a half and I shouldn't have missed any of it!

Photoreport from ATP curated by Jeff Mangum in PopUp magazine http://www.popupmusic.pl/no/34/galerie/387/atp-curated-by-jeff-mangum The text is only in Polish, but we have nearly 100 pictures, hope you would like them

I agree with you, Tamahone. One of the selling points of ATP is that it's meant to be a multi-platform event, so pardon me if I'm partially sold on that. This isn't even a criticism of ATP, before anyone stabs me with their crochet hook - I think Butlins fobs us off with the shitty chalets, personally, which is a poor show. "Shall we send out maintenence to glue down the lino in the kitchen?" "Nah, they'll only be unconscious on it".

The TV also plays while the bands do not, you can't spend every waking moment throwing yourself into a psychobilly freakout to Boredoms, there are times when you just want to chill in the chalet and maybe watch some ridiculous documentary about Russian farming techniques. The TV was just one of the faults of the weekend as ATP slowly slips away from what made me like it initially, I guess there are only so many bands that can play before they have to start recycling old favourites; and it was a delight to attend the festival without having Bradford Cox lurking around every corner for a change but the lineup was just full of old faces, and not in the just-reformed-after-20-years-for-a-one-off-show like the bands of ATP yesteryear.

"complaining about television reception....jesus." If they go to the considerable bother of having a TV channel, they should make sure it actually works! It's a bit of a slap in the face to Jeff Mangum, or whoever is curating that year, if they go to the effort of picking their favourite TV shows and documentaries, and then the TVs don't work and no one can see any of it. Having said that, I'd never go to ATP to sit in and watch TV!, but it's fun to have on in the background when in the chalet.

Just a fantastic ATP! Possibly the best one I've attended. Boredoms were beyond awesome. The Fall was fabulous. Joanna Newsom, Matana Roberts, Scratch Acid, Demdike Stare, Jon Spencer, Low, Sun Ra Ark, Sebadoh -- there was just so much greatness. Likewise, I have post-ATP depression, but I look forward to the next one.

I've never spent so much time smiling like an utter buffoon in my life, but I don't think there was a moment this past weekend that I wasn't doing so. Everyone performing was everything I've hoped for and then some. Also, I'm so glad other people managed to catch the surprise closing show, it was a crowning moment to a perfect fest! PS if you missed boredoms, man, I honestly feel bad for you. What. A. Show!

Balls to the television. This weekend was utterly mindblowing. Boredoms were an awe-inspiring experience, finally seeing Jeff live was incredible and accidentally stumbling onto the Elephant 6 collective, Sun Ra Arkestra and Boredoms in an unannounced jam together after Sebadoh was the perfect end. Not to mention the countless other absolutely stunning bands and performances. Crashing back to Earth is painful.

The television reception was terrible this weekend, everyone I talked to only had one of the ATP channels working at best and even then it was a struggle to see the picture through the snowy wasteland of static. Come on guys, no need to recycle the same Krautrock documentary and La Jetée admist others for the third time, give us some fresh blood! Dissapointed with the lack of poster as well... I DID HAVE FUN DESPITE MY MOANING THOUGH; BOREDOMS WERE AS CRAZY AMAZING AS EVER

Felt like a fool for not knowing about Scratch Acid. Was bouncing around thinking "these chimps sound like Jesus Lizard, but better... the singer even looks like Dave Yow, but older". teehee.
