Our second annual FreshGrass festival turns the whole museum into nothing short of a bluegrass amusement park, with a collection of diverse bands and musicians at the center of this weekend chock-full of bluegrass festivities.
We’re starting early in Courtyard C and going until past your bedtime with wild and wooly latenight barn dances in the Hunter Center on Friday with the Infamous Stringdusters and Saturday with The Devil Makes Three. The lineup is jam-packed with guitar gods and banjo gurus, traditionalists and trailblazers – artists you already know and love along with incredible discoveries to be made. Taken together, it’s an inclusive group of performers who are both reaching back to the past and looking to the future to push this great music forward. It’s all in a family friendly setting, and the biggest bargain in the festival world.
We’ll be serving a brand new beer called FreshGrass IPA, locally brewed by Greenfield’s The People’s Pint, with local wet hops and a zesty, crisp flavor!
