Do., 29. Jun. – Roskilde Festival 2000
this was the most disgressing and sorrowful festival I've ever been. I was there, at the Pearl Jam incident. It was raining, cold, and i stood far in the back of the audience. So I watched the videoscreen, and wondered whats happening. Nothing was clear. Eddie Vedder pleased the audience not to press, to go one step back... And then I saw Eddie Vedder, how he stepped back, his eyes - full of cares - fearfully opened. He had realised something very bad... band went off stage, and after a while the festival spokesman came on stage, said that right before our eyes fans have been dying... Jesus Christ, that was horror... couldn't believe it... poor boys and girls, R.I.P. That should never ever happen. Roskilde wasn't the same next day.... Festival went on (they feared to end it....) , we stayed, but the atmosphere was kind of strange. There rarely was that Roskilde festival feeling, just days of mourning. And a holy mess on Orange Stage....
