    Scrobbles from 2004

    Forgive me if this question has already been asked but I couldn't find anything on Google or in the forums.

    I joined Audioscrobbler/Last.fm in July 2004, however, (using the API and the UI) the earliest of my scrobbles are from February 2005.

    Was there irrecoverable data loss, the way it's implemented or possibly a legal issue?
