New Shout & PM indicators

The two things I check most regularly are my Shoutbox and my Inbox, yet with this new system it's harder then ever. What I'd like to see it some sort of indicator whenever there are new Shouts or PMs.

As it stands now, I memorize the Shoutbox count and wait for the number to change. I can jump down to the Shoutbox area with the link at the top of the page, but then I have to scroll to return to the top of the page.

I used to hear tracks I liked and would send myself a recommendation to check out the artist at length at a later time. Now those recommendations go to my Inbox, so it complicates being able to quickly tell if someone has sent me a new PM.

Totally agree - this would be a very useful feature...
