1. Steve Roach - Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces
More specifically, disc 2 & 3. The holy grail of ambient music. Nothing else comes close. The only artist who could possibly top it is, of course, Roach himself. But he rarely reaches this level (even though most of his stuff is quite good).

My current Top 5:

1. Aphex Twin - ...I Care Because You Do
This album doesn't seem to be getting a lot of love here. SAW II is a terrific album, but "I Care..." has some nice atmospheric tracks, such as Wax the Nip and Alberto Balsalm. And Ventolin can be easily skipped over.

2. Kettel - Volleyed Iron
A quirky, organic headphone trip. It's fun to listen to, as well as to just leave it on as background music.

3. LJ Kruzer - Manhood & Electronics
The track "Ter4" is the closest thing I've had to a religious experience, since I stopped going to church. The rest of the album is nice ambient, chill music.

4. Stars of the Lid - and Their Refinement of the Decline
Just..........sublime.......

5. Marsen Jules - Herbstlaub
If I could summarize this album in just 5 words, they'd be: "Staring-out-the-window music." I love anything this guy puts out, but this album in particular is just amazing.
