Other than Morrissey/The Smiths, I would have to say my favorite bands are Suede, Pulp, and Bloc Party. I'm not sure I could pick favorite songs, because they are all so good. But if you like Morrissey, then check them all out (Suede in particular, as they are probably the most similar to Morrissey).

I'd say David Bowie... favorite song by him would be Fashion or Ashes to Ashes... Actually its hard to chose because their all good!

Besides Morrissey and the Smiths, I can really dig on some Leonard Cohen, Simon Joyner, Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Phil Ochs and Spoonboy.

Aside from The Smiths and Morrissey— it's all about The Velvet Underground, Nico, Hole (Courtney Looooooooove), Sonic Youth, Patti Smith, a pinch of Joy Division, and some PJ Harvey. Neutral Milk Hotel, The Doors, and Elliott Smith are honorable mentions. I won't even bother listing songs, otherwise I'd be writing on here for the next 5 hours.
