  are there guides online on how to use souseex? I'm fluent in Soulseek but this is confusing.... Is there anything I have to configure before I can start downloading? (i have files shared but no one is downloading anything from me and I cant find any results in search) which encoding do I use when I search?

  I'm a new Mac user and I'm just starting to use SoulSeex, and at first I had trouble searching as well, but deeewig last solution seems to work well for me. Thanks, girl!

  Nicotine didn't quite work (thx for not answering, btw) so I finally just switched to the "new" server on soulseeX. It's simple, really. If you're still on the server 2240 on soulseeX, switch to port 2242 (in the soulseeX preferences), preferred port: 2234, range : 2234-2242. Et voila, you'll get much more search results.

  I haven't had any problems sharing my files on mac OS 10.5 with ssX... I went to window>users>shared files and selected my folders. They uploaded automatically. a lot of soulseek users switched to the new server, so we'll be getting less and less search results. I still didn't figure out a way to change servers on ssX. There hasn't been any new versions since forever: no room searches, no wishlists, inability to see most ppl's shared files... Did anyone try Nicotine on mac? would you recommend it?

  Hey I'm having a little bit of technical difficulties using ssX maybe one of you can help me out. I'm able to connect to the soulseek network and see the listing of chatrooms, join them, talk to people using soulseek, however my searches return ZERO results regardless of what i search for. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  I tried SolarSeek and didn't like it. It crashed less than Soulseex but I didn't like the interface.

  Anyone tried Solarseek ? I havn't, but I have a friend that uses it and he said it works good for him. I havn't found a reason to not like SSX.
