I've listened and loved this album at so many different stages of my life; I'm grateful that it still resonates after all these years. Sure, it's bombastic and super 00s, but it also feels so intimate, earnest, and personal - brassy yet cozily domestic. I love this version of AF (also, huge nostalgia factor because it playee on all the different radio waves in Canada back in the day).

The day that this album was least popular in 2022 was on Christmas eve with only 1,489 listeners

I figured that was the case! I just found it interesting because I think this album is generally considered to be on the sadder side and I wondered if people didnt want to be sad on christmas eve

Hadn't listened to this in a while, it brings back some memories and the forgotten sensation of feeling at home anytime if the music's right (Bologna, 2009).

The mix is perfect. I shudder to think what taste for what sterile recordings would lead one to think otherwise

I'd take a sterile recording any day over a muddy compressed one, great on speakers but on headphones it sucks

It’s weird that this is considered such a classic to me, the highlights are o still exhilarating but they stand aside several clunkers. For every hit there’s a whiff. This is their least consistent album (although not necessarily their worst)

Not overrated or underrated... Rated appropriately as one of the best albums of that decade.

I was not too keen at first but after listening again I really love it. It has incredible arrangements and is very empowering.

Happy 15th anniversary to this absolute masterpiece of an album. I still remember hearing it for the first time driving to school with my sister and having it just blow my mind because I had never heard anything like it at the time. Still holds up so damn well.

Just remembered that I came here 7 years ago to say this album wasn't so good... well, this is what immaturity does to us. I totally changed my mind when I heard some of the songs live for the first time and now it's one of those albums that leaves a mark in my teenage years. Everytime I hear it, makes me think of moments that I never even lived, and some that I did. Happy 15th anniversary. <3

One of the best indie rock albums of the decade along with The Antlers' Hospice and Burst Apart, Interpol's Turn On the Bright Lights, The Microphones' The Glow Pt. 2, Carissa's Wierd's Songs About Leaving, and Unwound's Leaves Turn Inside You
