Do you really think Human Jerky and Homovore are better than the stretch from Monolith to Terrasite? No offense just a genuine question :)

San Diego show was badass. Those of you attending future dates of the Death At Last Tour are in for something really special, providing the venues don't cancel due to Omicron.

You can be against the industrial exploitation of animals without being vegan, I do not see the contradiction (but to be honest I have not spent any time reading their lyrics or their personal views)..

After writing my comment, I read two of their interviews now where they talk about it, and they basically just say that they live vegan at home, but when on tour it just becomes too much of a hassle to keep track of what food contains eggs etc, which imo is completely understandable. If they were proud McDonalds customers I would kind of agree with you, but like this it makes sense. By your logic, anti-capitalist punk bands would not be allowed to publish records, unless they're self distributed tapes (and even then, some capitalist company has to manufacture the tapes in the first place).

"It's like publicly decrying poor working conditions for minorities and then using amazon, but even more obvious." I love radicalism like anybody else but now you are just being obscenely fastidious; since there's no humane way to kill an animal in order to eat it, I shouldn't be against animal abuse on an industrial scale cause I consume meat and/or dairy products, well that's bullshit.

I can't come up with a clever comment, because I don't understand - why point out someone's supposed hypocrisy in the first place? Like, what does it add to a conversation? It reminds me of those pointless "can't critizise society, cause you live in society!! haha, chekmate" type of posts. So an alcoholic can't tell you that drinking is bad or something?

First of all, there could be several reasons for this hypocrisy - as for all "capitalism critics" not escaping capitalist places, sometimes you can't run from what you criticise for (let's say, their body have to be fed with meat). Secondly, even if hypocrite says the truth, it's still the truth. Hypocrite author makes no difference. Thirdly - we are all in some ways hypocritical, and it's hard to draw the line where it's unacceptable. I think that if someone is stating valuable ideas, it doesn't matter what he does - because he promotes ideas that are worthy, in the first place. Digging in private life is a bit worthless.

Also: if vegan is lifestyle, then it can be hyped and then die. It would suck that way. I think being vegan is the IDEA, therefore, it will live forever, in different forms, constantly changing and adjusting itself to new environment, and new needs that our empathy should have for any living being on this world.

LMAO, it's really the first time I'm seeing someone trying to make a moral case for hypocrisy. Good for you, I guess. You kinda missed my point tho. And, uh, veganism IS a lifestyle. An "idea" - is something you have in your head, not necesserally acted upon. You can't be "vegan by idea", that's ludicrious. Veganism REQUIRES you to alter your way of life to some extent. Such lifestyles are based on ideas, but if this idea tells you to do something, and you don't - no, you're not this idea's actual adept. It's like claiming you're bodybuilder, just because you think bodybuilding is cool, yet you visit gym like 5 times a year. I have no idea why you connect "lifestyle" with "hype" btw.

For years I didn't like 'em and I had to give them multiple chances in order for me to like 'em. They're a real damn incredible band. I like Death Atlas the most.

Can we all give kudos to Travis for his ability as a live frontman? Seeing him perform live is very good, his stage presence is amazing.

The Death Metal in Death Atlas is really really average, listening through Humanure again now and its so unique! Death Atlas was relying to much on the Travis's melodic sections. Either way its still a good album, but bit disappointed (Can't please everyone I know)

I understand why old fans wouldn't like Death Atlas (it happened to me with Opeth), but as a newcomer to Cattle Decapitation this new album sounds like a masterpiece to me

You can’t just keep making the same ten songs decade after decade. Props to CD for making something new with this music. Some people hate it or are disappointed, and that’s the risk you take when you, well, take risks. I love the new album personally

I must concur with the criticism below... it's too formulaic, too recycled. Although it's not per se the overuse of cleans, or melody. More a lack of perspective or structure in general... it's too linear, in my opinion. Latest two were immense, precisely because those weren't lacking such aspects.
