King Crimson — английская рок-группа, созданная гитаристом Робертом Фриппом и барабанщиком Майклом Джайлзом в 1968 году. Музыка группы стилистически представляет собой прогрессивный рок. Название King Crimson придумал Питер Синфилд как синоним Веельзевула, принца демонов; по словам Роберта Фриппа, Вельзевул — это английская версия арабской фразы, звучащей как «Бил Сабаб» и означающей «целеустремлённый человек».

Заметная часть истории King Crimson состоит из различных перемен, происходивших в составе группы. Сквозь всю эту историю Роберт Фрипп проходит как единственный постоянный участник, хотя сам он утверждает, что не считает себя лидером группы. Он говорит, что King Crimson — «это способ делать дело», и музыкальная целостность, которой он добивается на протяжении всей истории группы, не смотря ни на какую ротацию участников, отражает его точку зрения.В августе 1969 года на прилавках магазинов в Великобритании появился дебютный альбом King Crimson - группы, которой суждено было стать явлением в рок-музыке. Еще до появления первого альбома группа уже была довольно-таки известна на британской андеграундной сцене и успела породить самые разнообразные, порой, диаметрально противоположные отзывы. Восторженные аплодисменты сменялись полным неприятием.

    @GRAMPAPROG: That's brilliant Hasselhoff, but unfortunately my printer ran out of ink so here's my method(requires Google Chrome): 1) Go to the album page of your choice and right click on the blank album cover and select 'Inspect Element'. 2) Search for the line of code which has the "default_album_mega.png", right click and 'Edit Attribute'. 3) Go to Google and search for a 174x174 picture of your chosen album cover and paste it's link to the line of code you just edited. 4) Congrats, the album cover is back, now do the same for each album cover and repeat it again every time you visit each page, have fun LOL.

    I fixed the album cover issue! Here's how I did it: I printed out album cover images from the web. Then when I scrobble KC music, I cut out the pics with scissors and tape the pics to my computer screen. It's a bit slower than normal but it has the same effect.

    I wish Robert Fripp would stop this nonsense. If this ever goes so far to where I can't even scrobble their music anymore, I'll never buy anything from the band ever again. Granted, I've never bought anything from the band so my threat seems pretty empty, but I planned to buy something from them someday (like concert tickets and/or possibly a t-shirt). He clearly hates piracy yet I might've never noticed the band if it weren't for a music piracy torrent site I frequent. I guess in his view, I'm not a true fan. Quite depressing that my favorite guitarist of all time would probably have a very negative outlook about me if he read this comment. What can I say? I'm a broke college student. :/
