Every version of this song is fantastic. The '70s original, '90s Mix version, as well as the 2000s and 2017 live equivalents are all brilliant in their own way. For me the 2004 Minimum Maximum version is my favourite (those electronic drum pads near the end are amazingly emphatic alongside the synth strings and choir pads), albeit the swirling chord sequences on The Catalogue 2017 live version are equally stunning. Kraftwerk are gods! :D.

I love how creepy the 1975 version sounds, there's this sinister feeling that some shit went down

What album is this version from? I'm hearing strings and what is it - a xylophone or vibraphone?

I kinda prefer the version from The Mix, if only because it has a more "modern" mix.

Maybe it's because of recent happenings, maybe not, but this song has recently become a huge favorite of mine. IN a bad way. It has such a huge atmosphere... You can see the reactor core humming and coughing as the song inevitably goes on and on. Very powerful song. Bonechilling. Almost otherworldly.

Haunting, eerie, gloomy - these words are a perfect fit to describe this song. A dark masterpiece, could we say?
