I thoroughly enjoyed everything on here, and it took some effort to arrange them all in a specific order. Also, the order doesn't directly reflect my ratings in the other journal, as my opinion on albums change over time.

I'm sure that the fact that i went to the gym a lot this year has affected my taste in music. I'm sure my list has no surprises and that's because i didn't dive deeper than what was already being praised. but that's not important. here are my favorite albums of the year,

The Book of Mormon: Original Broadway Cast Recording
what the hell, it's fun to sing along. i know i know, how mature Chris, this is so vulgar, but i'm a big fan of mixing tradition with "WTF"ness. the songs here are standard Broadway musical music, but none of the characters know the songs they are singing is ridiculous. it's not quite a parody. so the showmanship is so fascinating to me. plus, the story is pretty funny.
