Nightwish Lacuna Coil Epica in here somewhere probably, last.fm's journal linking sucks btw


In case you can't tell, I've listened to like two Lacuna Coil songs, ever. So if you find it aggravating when someone writes about something they know next to nothing about...well...prepare to be aggravated. To continue your aggravation, this is sort of presented in my unoriginal pseudo stream of conciousness format, which I have dubbed STREAM OF AWESOMENESS. I probably stole that from somewhere.



1. Trip the Darkness

Generic-sounding nu-metal male voice, check. They strike a decent balance for the first half, but honestly it's mostly forgettable, and sounds like an awkward hybrid of Evanescence and Flyleaf. Neither of which I'm a big fan of. (7/10)


2. Against You

Well, apparently they're adopting an antagonistic style against me, because I didn't much care for the first track. Well, they're definitely leaning more toward the weird hybrid than anything else. Also, I don't know how this is GOTHIC METAL. …

Three years! I'm here for three years already!
My music didn't change much, but I did. I'm little more foolish, little more wise, little more childlike and little more adult. I've many fears, but I still have dreams and I'm more weak than strong, but I'm going ahead anyway. I don't put dreams above reality anymore and not because I don't want to. I just can't. That's sad.

Nie był to rok najgorszy. Kryzys szaleje na starym kontynencie, ceny benzyny śrubują rekordy a brak rannych policjantów na szczecińskim marszu niepodległości sprawił, że stolica grodu gryfa świadectwa patriotyzmu nie zdała. Było więc całkiem wesoło. -A co tam w muzyce, Panie? -Ano też fajnie:

1. 9,53 - Mastodon - The Hunter
Sporo w internecie krytyki na temat nowego dzieła Mastodona. Pozwolę sobie się absolutnie nie zgodzić. Bom kierunek w jaki się udali z miejsca zaakceptował oraz zuwielbiał. Mastodon AD2011: zwrot ku melodii, charakterystyczne wielogłosy, zwarte formy i napakowane pomysłami, różnorodne, świetnie brzmiące piosenki. Jest nowa moc. Jest rewelacyjna moc. Najlepsze piosenki: Curl of the Burl, Stargasm.

Widziałem ich na żywo jeszcze przed premierą tej płyty. Ledwo szczękę domknąłem! Ale czy studyjne wcielenie OS oddaje power z koncertów? Zdania są podzielone. …
