Nice, didn't think much of them until... I actually heard them :o Quite glad they get a spot with HSB/AILD/SS when I (hopefully) go see them in November.

XXXtreme630, Twin Atlantic are supporting Limp Bizkit, Young Guns supported Bon Jovi, Sylosis supported Dragonforce, Exit Ten supported Avenged Sevenfold. Those bands are RTR's size, they must all have famous dad's too. Dick...

you're calling the song titles common when you have a chimaira shirt on? i like them but they've got the most generic song titles going.

Their guitarist is insane, he hit every note perfectly live. Lead singer, not as good as he could have been but interacted with the crowd well, and with a reputation to precede them the atmosphere would have been crazy to begin with. Backing guitarist, drummer and bassist were bland though.

They only got signed cause of Bruce Dickinson, this music is common. I know so many unsigned bands who are x10 better than this

With two walls of death, great live videos from the event and a crazy crowd reaction, seems like we saw two different shows altogether Megadieftw and Riffdissonance...

Yesterday, I noticed Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden wearing a "Rise to remain" t-shirt. A funny thing! Either way, Rise to remain is a very good band and I can't wait for they're debut album :D

There Are More Bands In This World That Have Just Shot Onto The Music Scene, Like Five Finger Death Punch and Hollywood Undead, And Just Because Austin Is Bruce's Son Doesn't Mean That Is The Reason Why Rise To Remain Have As Well. Obviously People Can't See That People Actually Like R2R Because Of Their Music, Bands Like 5FDP And HU Don't Have People Like Bruce In Their Family And They Have Made It By Themselves, And Even If R2R Have Had The Help From Bruce, Who Give's A Shit, There Are No Rules In Music That States No Family Members Who Are In A High Profiled Bands Are Allowed To Help Out Their Son's Band, As A Father You Are Supposed To Do What You Can To Help Your Children Excell In Exactly What They Want To Do. Personally I Love R2R And Couldn't Give A Shit If Bruce Was Writing The Music For Them, R2R Are R2R Whether They've Had Help From Bruce Or Not, And If You Don't Think That It Is Right That They Should Be This Big, Then Go Tell Some People Who Actually Give A Shit, Not Us!

All these negative comments...go whinge elsewhere. I don't care that they have the backing to get shows (unfairly according to some) and such, I only care that they sound awesome and that I've seen them live thus thinking they're more awesome because of it. RTR rock, that's all that matters.

They are recording in the studio at the moment with the most respected record producer Colin Richardson who has worked with the likes of Trivium, Machine Head, Slipknot, Napalm Death, Carcass etc

Look i do know what this David guy said as i cannot see the posts but what he said has russled everyones feathers but all ill say is that if they have been helped by Bruce then denying it is wrong! I love maiden, but think that if I was bruce that I wouldnt help my son out I would want him to try by himself! Listened to some of their tracks and to be honest their are lots of band here in the US and the UK that are better and that deserve to play some of the events that these guys have the chance to. If they havent worked for it as it appears from teh rate of them aquiring things and playing some of the events they do/have then I feel like they should expect negative comments.

Continued.. They even removed all the comments that wrote "bruce dickinson's sons band" what a shame or something like that. They may be nice lads, but think they are all backing and no weight, saw them live at download this year and in 08, nothing special at all compared to a lot of the other underground uk bands coming up in the scene at the moment like The Eyes Of A Traitor, Martyr Defiled, Bleed From Within etc these are bands that tour & play as much as possible and have built their name through getting out their not just by who they know. I can understand what david said about the endorsement side of things & pauls comment about it not just being about one members skill or ability, so they have a somewhat talented guitrist, one stong link in achain doesnt make the chain strong. Personaly David went to far with his comments but, removing them and taking away someones opinion is byast and by them doing this shows they have something to hide or that David was on to someting.......

Sorry but im affraid that David is was right, all the things you have in such a short space of time, is very improbable, I have to admit that david did go on an on but I work for an International booking agency and you don't get to work with Paul Ryan unless a) you have heavy backing as in RTR's case they do or you have toured the life out of your country. Working in tour booking and artist management i see a lot of the tours and that happen in the UK and Europe and TBH i havent seen a lot of if any independant tours that the band done before working with Paul Ryan. I think paulmasonrocks has hit the nail on the head, they dont like bad press/comments or people that they dont like. TBC

Have been watching all the comment on here, and its funny how they have deleted all the ones that are negative about the band from that david dude. Think they dont like the truth to be honest....... @jamesJShredz A good guitarist does not make a band good, the whole band needs to be good not just one member, if hes so good why not become a solo artist rather than do the rubish that is this band.

...Listen to Pat's fuckin playing...no shit dude's gonna get hooked up with pedals. And like a good rep he has the logo sticker on his bass drum head. We were nominated for the same award (that they rightfully won cuz they rule) and none of our families are in the industry at all. I don't think we deserved it, but it wasn't bought. We're completely broke. Even the smallest of labels have some talented people busting ass to get their bands some attention from the press. I will say though...I did see Pat wearing not only a free T-shirt but also a baseball cap that was given to him! Maybe Austin's dad used his "millions" to bribe the clothing company to hook up that fancy free T-Shirt.

We toured with these dudes, scavenging the same cheese and bread assortments in the same filthy dressing rooms. They had the same little sprinter van (theirs had more dents in it than ours), I believe they didn't even have their own sound guy, and we did. Ben had to sell a bunch of shit to buy his preamp. At download, Austin and I searched around for the same free-food tent to use our little coupons for our 1 free meal. We stayed at the same shitty ass Travel Lodges. These kids are amazing shredders with musical educations. I remember talking about modes and arpeggios and stuff, Ben's chops are ridiculous, and Will knows all this shit about tonewoods and pickups. Austin's dad hooked him up with good genes, pipes and stamina. They're not making any money. If you're fucking good, people will notice quickly. I have the same guitar endorsement they do and I'm a total nobody, admittedly. ESP is a rad company that helps out new bands they believe in.....

(continued) Anyway, we have worked so hard to both make this band work and make our lives work out. Personally, I essentially ruined my life both academically and financially in order to make this band work out, and I've never regretted it. So it is an insult when you make such ignorant accusations. Rather than being childish, why not ask us what you wanna know rather than make assumptions. Please do yourself a favour and if you really have such a big hang up against the band, just do your best to ignore us rather than stress yourself out and get all angry and start taking it out over the internet. I wish I'd read this before our recent tour, I would've invited you to the show so you can meet us and see exactly who it is you're making up stuff about. Next time we have a London show, please come along and say 'hi' (or 'fuck you') to us. At least make it personal so you have a real reason to insult us instead of hiding behind your keyboard.

(continued) The Metal Hammer EP? The magazine have faith in what we do and genuinely think we can aspire to great things, and Mr Milas has heard nothing but our most heartfelt thanks from it. Endorsements?! That one cracked me up. We had endorsements when we were Halide - we just didn't have a fancy myspace page with all of them listed on it. We've supported and used all the companies we're associated with for years, and will do for much longer. They are thankful for both that and (what is essentially) the free advertising we do for them, understand that professional musicians can't always afford to buy what they need, and they show gratitude by helping us out. (to be continued...)

Haha hey David, just signed up so I could say hi (hi by the way =]) and drop a bit of knowledge off! First off, just to repeat a point, Austin's father doesn't help us. He gave us a lift to a show or two and when Austin was younger he lent him some money to get food while we were at gigs. Thats it. Second, we got the Download '08 offer when we were Halide, we were in our transition phase going from Halide into another band at the time so even if our slot at Download didn't happen, Rise To Remain would still have happened. All our industry involvement has been off our own backs, and we are so thankful for everything we get. Our management and booking agent signings weren't because of who Austin's dad is, its because they have faith in our music being huge and being popular. If they signed us up because of Bruce, then it'd be bad business and no REAL business would put themselves at such a stupid risk. (to be continued...)

Forget posters, you've got fans, like me, who were around when you guys were Halide. Hell Halide were so big on the scene they appeared on a metal hammer new talent cd. (Please rerecord / redo tempest for the new album btw Austin. Cheers :D) You guys are incredibly talented, with Ben rapidly becoming one of the best shred guitarists in the UK, and Austin becoming a solid front man. I have watched these guys evolve, both live and on record, over the past few years, and more defiantly deserve to be where they are. Can't wait to see them for the 6th (ish?!) time at Sonisphere.

There is no problem with his dad helping him out in his career especially being a young band. The only problem i'll have with these guys is 5 years down the road and they're still getting stuff handed to them. They're talented but there is nothing wrong with what they're doing
