This is just a song guys. They're not preaching. Hold on to your beliefs, whatever they are, and enjoy this great song for what it is: a song.

Speaking as a Rush fan with strong spiritual beliefs (Yes, we do exist) I don't exactly feel alienated. I still love Rush. I justr usually skip songs like this and Freewill. My faith can survivie someone else's atheism. And let;s face it, the man's been through hell. I'm sure it's hard to believe much after all he's been through.

"The price of what we're winning Is the same as what we've lost" Wow...those are some DARK lyrics, Neil! Don't even get me started with the watchmaker stuff...that guy is a total prick.

Not sure how I feel about the addition of that little intro on the album version. Mind you, I've only heard it once so far, but I'm not sure what it adds to the overall song. I can't wait to hear BU2B2 though.

Okay, 50 weeks after release, I can safely say I was correct in saying this is indeed the best Rush song in decades. I'm dying a little inside each time I hear Clockwork Angels is being delayed, but I know that the end result will be completely worth it.

I might be the first detractor here. These tracks remind me too much of Vapor Trails except these don't seem to be mixed improperly like that album was; and that's more disturbing to me than a simple bad mix. It's just that simply the instruments themselves at times completely drown out Geddy Lee's voice, but I am thankful he doesn't resort to screaming or wailing in an attempt to get into a prominence battle with the instruments. That's what I dislike about heavy metal as a whole. Rush has experimented with heavy metal and IMO so far has done it a service by retaining rhythm and understandable vocals when the tracks themselves were mixed properly. Just wish they'd re-record Vapor Trails. The remixed Earthshine on Retrospective III wasn't enough. Perhaps these two tracks'll grow on me — especially when I'm able to get something in better quality than a stupid low bitrate mp3. Hopefully there'll be a disc release of this soonish so I could rip to lossless.

To be fair, I am a deep listener when it comes to Rush. I always search for those epic things in songs. For example, the synth in middletown dreams on 2 minutes, the intro in one little victory, or maybe the feeling in Geddys voice in A Passage To Bangkok when he sings "pulling into Katmandu". These to songs just brought Rush to a new level. Too good to be true!

Very Rage Against the Machine-ish opening riff. I half expect Zack de la Rocha to come in. Excellent song.

I would say this is the best Rush song in decades, but it's only been a week so it's a touch early to start saying stuff like that.

IT Rocks all right, but the rhythm seems a tad commercial compared to Caravan. I would prefer to see a longer Epic version of that song but I like this.

The riff in this would not be out of place on a Mastodon album. Rush's biggest, heaviest, most utterly massive riff. If this is a sign of things to come, I'm in.
