After only four months, Time for Pride performed their first live concert at a band contest, where they were awarded first place. Two days later, the daily newspaper NÖN (main newspaper in Lower Austria) issued an article about the band entitled “when someone impresses right first time.”
The band members themselves describe their music style as “Balkan Flavored Metal Rock” because the Serbian heritage of front man Ivan is reflected not only in the in their lyrics but also in their music and combined with a “stone hard guitar sound” (quote: Planet.TT Magazin). Trumpets, drummers, and a surprising stage show are the band´s trademarks.
In the first two years, Time for Pride already played two dozen live shows in the Szene Wien, the WUK, and multiple open air concerts all over Austria along with bands like Rainer von Vielen, Emil Bulls, Marcus Smaller, Cadaveres, Guadalajara, Kontrust, Delicious Red and many more.
After their first single including three demo tracks was sold out in summer 2009, the band recorded their first EP “In any Shade of Color.” The production took three months and was an overwhelming success.
After the band had started touring with their EP in January 2010, cooperation with Galane Custom Drums and Necrocorsa Sunglasses (later also Serial Drummer) arose by April. Two months after that, the bands signed its first contract with the label Burnside Records.
In October 2010 Time for Pride returned to the studio in order to record their first long player called “Play your Cards right”, which will be issued in spring 2012.
In addition to their studio work the band continued to provide its fans with surprising concerts, for example a life fashion show in collaboration with Deva La Vie, which previously performed at the Vienna Fashion Week. During the release show of their single “Leave It Twice” at the Szene Wien in summer 2011, Time for Pride got the vocalists of Boon, Prometheus, and Delicious Red on stage in order to give a special performance of the song “All that Remains”, which is also included on their new album “Play your cards right.” The Being the supporting act for Deaf Havana and Skindred at the Wiener Flex was definitely the highlight of Time for Pride in 2011.
For the year 2012 Time for Pride has planned several gigs outside Austria including Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Serbia, where they will treat local audiences with their unique sound.
