Moongarden (ITA) - Songs From The Lighthouse (2008)

Genre: Retro Prog

My first Moongarden album. It is a very good album and not the 'standard'
retro-copy-prog… Nice addition: guest singer: Andy Tillison of The Tangent. Sadly I don't like the song much in which Andy sings :D

Prisma (SUI) - Collusion (2006)

http://gallery.me.com/moonloop/100012/Collusion/web.jpg
Genre: Art / Prog Metal

Well the first thing I thought when I listened to this band was: sounds like Tool… Well and you can see it that way: If you like Tool you will like this too. But the mood of this music is different… Let me describe it as 'psychedelic touch' :D don't know how to express it accuratly.. Well recommend to anyone who likes technically well played prog metal without lack of emotion / depth…

MIND Volume 1 (1997)

http://gallery.me.com/moonloop/100012/MIND%20Volume%201/web.jpg
The MIND concept albums (Music Investigating New Dimensions) are veery dynamic and enjoying albums, although I own only the volumes 1 and 4. I buyed them after I saw Isildurs Bane live and they had a stunning live performance! The first MIND album is completely instrumental, but it is not boring!! A big and unusual instrumentation and great melodies make this album an excellent record!

MIND Volume 4: Pass (2003)

http://gallery.me.com/moonloop/100012/MIND%20Vol%204%20PASS/web.jpg
This album of the MIND concept contains vocals for the first time. The tracks are shorter now, but nevertheless they are good tracks. It is also a very deep, complex and melodic album like MIND Volume 1 but personally Volume 1 is my favourite!

Genre: Neo Prog

Wow this is really good neo prog work! For any fan of neo prog as it was celebrated by Marillion with Fish this is a must have! Haunting melodies, very great guitar work. This has everything what a classic neo prog album needs!

Hostsonaten (ITA) - Springtides (2004)

http://gallery.me.com/moonloop/100012/Springtides/web.jpg
Genre: Retro-Prog

I know that a compilation of rare tracks and demos is not the right cd to start with a band you don't know. But I did like the cover so I bought it :D. The sound quality is a bit poor, but anyway the are really good songs on it . I think I need some of the 'real' studio albums…

Nice album. If you don't compare this to the classic camel records you get a nice album with a irish flare that don't sound synthetical!
