These are Jesus’ words and teachings:
Luke 12:15-21
15Then He said to them, "Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions."
16And He told them a parable, saying, "The land of a rich man was very productive.
17"And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ’What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ 18"Then he said, ’This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19’And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry."’ 20"But God said to him, ’You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ 21"So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
Matthew 6:19-21
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:24
24"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Now contrast Jesus' words with Todd Bentley's words:

Scripture also speaks of another angel that releases finances. I understand that God will supply all my need according to His riches in glory (Phil. 4:19). Do you know what that means? There are riches in glory because the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. He is the God who supplies our needs according to His riches in glory. The bible even tells us that the silver and gold are His. So when I need a financial breakthrough I don’t just pray and ask God for my financial breakthrough. I go into intercession and become a partner with the angels by petitioning the Father for the angels that are assigned to getting me money: “Father, give me the angels in heaven right now that are assigned to get me money and wealth. And let those angels be released on my behalf. Let them go into the four corners of the earth and gather me money. Let them gather my partners.” You know why it’s important to pray like this? Because the Devil wants to cut off your cash flow. He wants to hinder and block your finances. He wants to do whatever he can to hinder you from receiving the blessing and provision that God has for you. Sometimes praying about it isn’t good enough because you need to prevail in heaven where the angels and demons are actually fighting. We want to push back the demonic forces, so sometimes we need to say, “Father, let those legions of angels assigned to release financial breakthrough, come into the earth right now and loose the Devil from the money assigned to me. I call in that money in the name of Jesus.” Sometimes when I pray this way, bam! … I’ve got the money I need within a few days. Yes, I get financial breakthrough because God is my source. If man doesn’t have it for me, God does. Yet the Devil is trying to keep it from getting to me. Even though God heard me on the first day, the Devil wants to delay it 21 days or as long as he can. But I’ve got to get the angels involved with my incense and say, “C’mon God, let those angels come and help fulfill your word—you promised me the blessing of the Lord that makes one rich and You add no sorrow with it.
Now for my comments:
To anyone who thinks that Todd Bentley's teachings here are Scriptural:
Umm…..look at what Jesus said -

Now look at what Todd Bentley said about angels getting him money. Let me ask you a question - who/what is Todd serving when he talks about getting thousands and thousands of dollars? Who/what is he serving when he talks about God making him rich? Don't you see that Todd's entire focus there is about money and getting more money? He even specifically says, "Father, give me the angels in heaven right now that are assigned to get me money and wealth. By contrast, Jesus said, "you cannot serve God and wealth."
You say that Todd's teaching is Scriptural? Show me the Scripture that Todd uses to support his teachings. If you use Philippians passage that Todd refers to, then if you go to the actual verses you will see that Todd has taken that out of context. The glory that Paul is talking about in that verse is not money, riches, weatlth, or prosperity.
Where in the Bible does any NT author tell us that we need to pray for money? Where does God instruct us to look to angels to meet our needs and equip us with money? Where does God tell us to "engage in spiriutal warfare" by praying against demons/praying for angels?
Don't you see that what Todd Bentley is teaching is applealing to a person's greed? That this "angel" is appealing to Todd's own greed? Don't you see that is all stuff that is exactly what people want to hear…that it appeals to itching ears?
Also, what heavenly good is this teaching of Todd Bentley's? What eternal worth is it?
Where does God ever tell us in the Bible that angels are "assigned to getting us money?"
Doesn't it appear to you that Todd is using God like some sort of object to get him what he wants….as a means to getting him money? Look at how he used the name of Jesus there…."in the name of Jesus get me money."
Where in the Bible does it say that Satan is blocking people from getting them money….where in the Bible does it say that Satan has that kind of power? I'm serious. From what I've read in the Bible, God does meet people's needs…but He doesn't make people rich. I've never read anything in the Bible in which Satan has the power to prevent God from providing for people's NEEDS.
Also, no where in Scripture does it exalt angels to the status that Todd Bentley does. Angels are real and they are MENTIONED in the Bible….but they are not made much of. It is God and God alone who is glorified in Scripture. Something is seriously wrong with Todd Bentley's teachings.
Where in the Bible is gold dust supported?
Where in the Bible are people "whacked" by the Holy Spirit? Where in the Bible do people bark like dogs or cluck like chickens? Where in the Bible does it say that God puts people in trances?
Where in the Bible does it say that we should expect financial breakthroughs? Where in the Bible are we promised monetary riches? Where in the Bible are we promised wealth?
Could anything be clearer? It seems to me that Todd Bentley's words are in complete contradiction to what Jesus said about money and wealth. This causes me to seriously question the source of Todd Bentley's signs and wonders.
As I said before, it is not the fact that there are healings that are going on in Lakeland…..rather it is the teachings behind those speakers at Lakeland that concern me. I don't like the emphasis that they are placing on angels, and I don't like the emphasis that they are placing on prosperity. I firmly do believe in all of the biblical spiritual gifts.
It also appears to me that Todd Bentley is using God as a means to satisfy his own selfish desires – in this case money. Do I believe that God can meet our needs? Yes. But I don't think that we should be looking for God to make us rich. I don't think we should look at the name of Jesus as a magical word that will get us what we want. I don't think we should look to God as some sort of object that will get us money and more money….thousands upon thousands of dollars.
It is not just the emphasis on money/prosperity that bothers me about Todd Bentley…..but, honestly, it is his emphsis on angels that troubles me even more.
Now let me talk about an angelic experience. Twice Bob Jones asked me if I had seen a particular angel that was in Kansas City in 1980. He asked me as if he expected that this angel was appearing to me. He told me that this angel helped birth and start the whole prophetic movement in Kansas City in the 1980’s as well as helping to nurture the prophetic as it broke out. Within a few weeks of Bob asking me about this angel, I was in a service in Buelah, North Dakota . In the middle of the service I was in conversation with Ivan and another person when in walks an angel. As I stared at this angel, I sensed the Lord saying that this was the angel that Bob Jones was speaking about. This angel appeared to be floating a couple of inches off the floor emitting brilliant light and colors. The angel began walking up and down the aisles of the church putting gold dust on people. “God, what is happening?” I asked. The Lord answered: “This angel is releasing the gold, which is both the revelation and the financial breakthrough that I am bringing into this church. I want you to prophecy that the angel’s appearance is a sign that I am endorsing and releasing a prophetic spirit in the church.” –See, when angels come, they always come for a reason; we need to actually ask God what the purpose is. Within three weeks of that visitation, the church had given me the biggest offering I had ever received to that point in my ministry. Thousands of dollars! Thousands! Even though the entire community consisted of only three thousand people, weeks after I left the church the pastor testified that the church offerings had either doubled or tripled. During this visitation the pastor’s wife (it was an AOG church) got totally whacked by the Holy Ghost— she began running around barking like a dog or squawking like a chicken as a powerful prophetic spirit came on her. Also, as this prophetic anointing came on her, she started getting phone numbers of complete strangers and calling them up on the telephone and prophesying over them. She would tell them that God gave her their telephone number and then would give them words of knowledge. Complete strangers. Then angels started showing up in the church. I believe this angel released a financial and prophetic anointing in that place. The people in the church began having trances and visions and the pastor began getting words of knowledge and moving in healing. That congregation also saw more financial breakthrough than they had ever seen before.
