Interesting Covers pt. 1

Besides their normal set list some bands like to cover certain artists, be it in live shows or in studio recordings.
As a music lover I very fond of it. So thanks to that appreciation I've decided to list some Cover songs by famous bands or them being covered.

10000 Maniacs - Everyday is Like Sunday
10000 Maniacs, one of my favorite bands, has covered this famous Morrissey song. Both the original and the cover one are great songs, but this hit in the voice of the lovely Natalie Merchant adds a new charm to it.

Ana & Jorge - É Isso Aí
Ana Carolina, one of the new brand in (Popular Brazilian Music), in a Live Album with Seu Jorge, also new act in MPB, recorded this, not so much a cover as it is a version, changed lyrics hit from Damien Rice originally titled Blower's Daughter. If you like or is at least interested in Brazilian music start with this beautiful sample of the different vocal skills in the South-American culture.

Ed Motta - Samurai
Here we have a legend in Brazilian music covering yet another legend Djavan. This amazing song, Samurai, in the vocal styling of wonderful Ed Motta hits the spot.

Franz Ferdinand - Mis-shapes
new sensation Franz Ferdinand covered this 1995 single by the band
Pulp. Mis-shapes is not the only cover by Glasgow based band Franz Ferdinand in this list.

Franz Ferdinand & Jane Birkin - A Song for Sorry Angel
In this 2006 tribute album for Serge Gainsbourg, Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited, Jane Birkin, Serge's ex-wife with whom he had a daughter, covered with the boys from Franz one of his hit songs known as Sorry Angel. The poet, , actor and director, who died in 1991 can feel pleased enough.

Iron Maiden - The Ripper
This legendary band covered another band from the UK, Judas Priest. They played the song The Ripper connecting two of the greatest names in .
