haha yeah I paid a little much for mine. Well I got the reissue at a record store here in Toronto for about 25 dollars. Spent about 80 on a near mint original pressing of it on ebay. Just means I don't feel bad playing the reissue to death hah.

Hey, I saw on the Vinyl board that you just picked Spiderland. Good choice. I just recently picked up the original pressing of it myself. How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking? Want to see if I got ripped off ha.

Thanks mate! I was actually only LAST NIGHT listening to Riceboy Sleeps wondering whether they had any more stuff availalbe... like B-sides etc. I love the album so much and really really want more like it. I wonder if the new album will be more like that or more like Sigur Rós?? Will listen to that preview track soon!! :) Oh yes PW - will be seeing him on Thursday. I REALLY REALLY like Wind in the Wires. Haven't heard the new album yet. I was very suspicious of him for so long - just couldn't find the hook - but really like his stuff. Just sorta happy listening to Wind in the Wires for so long I gave The Magic Position another listen - obviously - I forgot I really like IT too! :) The Magpie is such a wonderful track!

Glad you liked the suggestions!! I really love Grafton Primary. They're playing here in Brisbane, the same night i'll be in Sydney. Dang. I really like "She knows it!" It's totally 80s in a good way! :) I haven't had a chance to check out some Liam Finn yet. Have been discovering other music like Dave Matthews Band (which I've been meaning to do for years and years). And what do you mean you were ONCE a Trekhead. Once a Trek fan, always a Trek fan! :D I can't believe they're doing a STAR TREK symphony! I've been down to Sydney over the years to see them do The Lord of the Rings Symphony - conducted by Howard Shore, and they did a John Williams symphony - I always dreamt of a Star Trek one but never thought they'd do one. Next one i'm waiting for is for them to get Bear McCreary and his musicians out here and do one with the music from Battlestar Galactica.

Yes Riceboy Sleeps!! I was listening to a few tracks that were on last.fm and the track from the "Dark Was the Night" compilation. Is the actual Riceboy Sleeps album out yet!?! GOT TO GET IT!! Ooh, definitely check out Goyte "Hearts A Mess"!! If you like Cut Copy - also try The Presets - who you've probably heard of. Oh, and an even BETTER discovery is an Australian group similar to both of them called "Grafton Primary". Their album is called "Eon". Check out the song "She Knows It". One of those songs I remember hearing on the radio one day and going 'WOAH! That's cool!" :)

Y'know I've heard nothing but GOOD things about Liam Finn. I reckon I've gotta give him a listen then. Thanks for the recommendation! Let me have a think about what to reccommend back. Any more are of course appreciated! Last.fm is the place I discover all my new music now! :) Hrmm a 'friend' of Neil Finn is Lisa Germano - played on his live album. She does good stuff. I wish Neil would release a new solo album his first two are so good it's not funny. Hrmm actually there's an idea for recommendation - Australian artists. Check out - for starters David Bridie (Act of Free Choice) and Gotye (Like Drawing Blood). Try Gotye first actually. It's really one guy, Wally De Backer. Best song is "Hearts a Mess".

'Escapology' is brilliant album, my favorite ever! But without Chambers Robbie wrote great album 'Intensive Care' with Stephen Duffy. 'Rudebox' is more like experimental album;I hope that his next album will be mix of pop and rock just like his best albums. Also if you like Sinatra or Dean Martin listen' to 'Swing When You're Winning', it's just great how he's able to be so versatile!

Hey mate. An American with crowded house as artist #2? Cant say I've seen that before. But Sorry to say, radiohead are lamers! Listen to Thom Yorke's solo album The Eraser, its album art poster has been posted firmly the wall above my pc for a while now, its pretty awesome. Sounds better in winter for some reason, and its winter in the US I think so its a good time to listen! Peace n chocolate, homie.
