Dir en grey in Moscow

The second Diru concert for me in August. You know it was a nice concert ever, even with its drawbacks. The gig was a harsh contrast in comparison with their show at Wacken. However, what I treasure most is the feeling I get after each of their performances. And it is quite symbolic to witness opening and closing gigs of this small European tour.
The beginning of the concert was delayed approximately for 40 minutes which we fortunately spent outside a club. I wish I never went to that club. I don’t know whose faults were the delay and later sound problems, but nevertheless fans suffered.
I should take off my hat to Dir en grey as guys worked their set excellent. Their performance was awesome. Finally after the third attempt I managed to stay at Kaoru-Toshiya’s side. Kaoru who looked at crowds of little fangirls like a father looks at his beloved children. And Toshiya flirting with these underage girls and simultaneously showing his naked shoulder and chest. Gorgeous! And ultimately I saw Toshiya’s crazy voodoo dance in all its glory. And his bass…
Kyo. He fishhooked again while “Shokubeni”. Amusingly I saw it in Moscow and not in WOA. But most of all I appreciated the moment when he was telling his good-bye to Moscow audience. Again he flashed his smile to all of us and waved his farewell. It was the warmest Kyo I’ve ever seen.
Damn, after meet&greet at WOA it was so cute to look at guys again… in your mother town… and it was so strange.
I had kind of a blonde moment today. I couldn’t define even a half of the songs in the setlist. I do remember “Hageshisa”, “Lotus”, “Hydra 666”, “Ain’t afraid to die”, “Rasetsukoku”, “Reketsu Nariseba”, “Shokubeni”, “Dreambox”, “Amon”, “Tsumi no Batsu” and then everything is vague… For me it is rather difficult to have fun during songs from “DSS” during a concert ‘cause of their rough rhythm. However, I believe that one of the reasons I couldn’t enjoy myself the fullest were those jumping girls blocking every possibility to headbang, but we found a loophole.
And unexpectedly Kyo even communicated somehow with the audience. He was so alive today that I was slightly shocked.

That’s all that I managed to remember after such a bombastic show. I made up my mind not to visit Diru concerts in Russia ever again. Sound problems turned out to be more crucial even then fangirls. Nevertheless, I will bring this concert into line with my first Nightwish gig and these two bands are the most influential up to date.
