I only ever use it now for checking out bands that don't have wiki bios, I would've gotten back into it a couple years ago so I remembered more of the stuff I listen to, but it doesn't want to play nice with my MediaMonkey, so I gave up.

There was a point in early spotify life, where Last.fm was no longer supported, so I just stopped using it for years, its back on now though. I do like the way I can navigate recommendations and stuff on here, opposed to weird algorithms and limited UI. We'll see how this goes. I miss our talks! Give me something to listen to.

Absolutely! Sorry I didn't get back to you, I hardly ever hit up spotify on a browser these days. Let's do it, I wonder if they'd let you use spotify if you had a gift code.

Er, so to more directly answer your question, ads are indeed intrusive. That doesn't outweigh the features though.

Spotify is pretty amazing, though it requires facebook now. I used to shuffle ridiculous UK proxies to use it before it came to North America. As for payment, it depends, the free version is absolutely fine, the ads are only annoying for breaking up song transitions occasionally. It is absolutely worth paying for though! I went premium to use it at work and eliminate the 50+ CDs I would keep in my car at all times. For $10 a month I discovered that I had backseats! Anyway, it would be amazing if you wanted to give it a shot and share some music with me.

You know what? Fuck you, man. I was thinking "How could he possibly listen to that song so many times?" Then I heard it. Fuck you. It took our Compatibility from Very High back to Super.

Brother 'Leotards.. last I spoke to you, I vanished into a variety of hotels, leaving the internets behind. Forgive me! How do you feel about spotify?

Hey man! I totally drifted off there for a while. I moved, and ended up with only a netbook, so I don't listen to a lot of music on it. I miss talking music with you, so let's start again, shall we? I don't use AIM anymore, but let's talk on Facebook chat sometime. Add me. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=501670861

Saw TV on the Radio again, crazy better this time.. I don't know why, probably because it wasn't at bogart's. Or I had better drugs, hmm. Anyway, they played a lot of older stuff this time, though I admit I wanted to hear Love Dog again. Fair trade I suppose. I get to see them again if I decide to hit up Lollapalooza. I was reading your old comment about Dear Sience and realized, I think i went through nearly the same phases with that album as you did. Is Read Silence out yet? I want to hear that Gang Gang Dance remix. How do you hear GGD?

I liked Family Tree and Love Dog at first, then i got into Crying and Dancing Choose, Crying was awesome live. Halfway Home is alright and Shout Me Out is good but feels like a cheap high. Not much to it other than the end. I don't really dislike any of the songs though, the album grew on me after a few dozen listens. I do like Kyp Malone though, maybe its just his hair.

Yes sir, it is. It is also addictive, it gets better the more you hear it. I ended up loaning all of the albums to a friend so I'll stop listening to them. As soon as I did, I heard Love Dog on the radio at work. Also, saw them live last saturday, fantastic.

You know what I don't get? Why bash sites like Pitchfork and NME and shit like that if you don't like it? I'm saying this as someone who typically doesn't dig much stuff they recommend. But any time I've known a band was recommended by them, it's been because of this site or others. I have never even gone to either of those sites, because I don't need people to tell me what to listen to. I have sites like Last and others that just allow you to find what suits you without being specifically told that you should like it. But I mean, I can't bash the shepherd sites that just get people into the new trends, because I never go to them and therefor don't know what they're current catch phrase word is. =D

I'm not entirely against the new set up so much as I just thought the old set up was perfect. There's no weekly charts here, and the "library" box has no function other than to show pictures. The playlist player should be removable because I only added a few songs to it then stopped, so the onest that are there are pointless. I changed my avatar again because I'm not going to just be continually annoyed. I'll move on, I just used to look forward to coming to Last and now I feel like I'm going to Myspace. Which is typically an icky feeling in general.
