I am a 23 year old Salvadorian-American who was born in smoggy Los Angeles but is currently residing in Emeryville. I am a recent Berkeley graduate who studied History and political science.

A typical day of mine includes going to the elementary school I love to teach at, listening to music (Radiohead, Travis, Tupac, Dashboard Confessional, Nas, Alejandro Sanz, La Ley, Ozomatli, J5, Ricardo Arjona, Luis Miguel, The Beatles, Coldplay, Sarah McLaughlin,) and reading the paper (SF Chronicle, NYT, LAT, WashPost).

I am a moderate liberal (whatever that may mean to you) who is interested in social-democratic processes and who is committed to social justice and opportunities for children in disadvantaged situations.

I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I am very proud to be Latino, but very cognizant of the fact that I am a first generation Salvadorian-American and have thus acquired a lot of ideas which are not very traditional.

I am an avid athlete who loves to play soccer and basketball.
