Moira Stewart 'Sweetness, Yes!' album out next week!

Greetings!

Its been a fair while since we provided an update, but that doesn't mean that we're resting on our lofty laurels, no sirree! Indeed, we have a plethora, a cornucopia, a smorgesboard of stuff upcoming and we want to share it with you, yes, you!

First up! The peachy-creamy debut album from electropop rapscallions Moira Stewart! Garnering the plaudits from a range of notable publications (and some rubbish ones too), as well as airplay on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6Music, er, Skins, 'Sweetness, Yes!' will be hitting the racks on Monday 14th April. You can hear the each album track streamed on our last.fm page too! Bonzer! So hop, skip and jump to our website to order!

To celebrate such a monumental occurance, the Moira Stewarts will be holding their album launch at the venue of many choice Moirageddons, the Head of Steam. Featuring support from The Bubble Project and Emergency Librarian, it costs just £2 entry or £7 with a copy of the album. It all kicks off at 7.30pm and we URGE you to get there early because it WILL sell out. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Remember that you can still buy the d_rradio album from us! Described by The Silent Ballet as "undoubtedly going down as one of the premier electronic releases of the year", they're certainly shifting - we're only about ten copies away from having one box left and they WILL go before long, so don't waste any time!

Also! You can still buy tickets for Stars Of The Lid at The Church of St. Thomas The Martyr in Newcastle-upon-Tyne from here or at wegottickets. Do! Not! Miss! Out! on your chance to witness one of the world's premier bands.

In other news, you can hear on myspace a track from the upcoming 8" vinyl by Japostrock overlords, The Retail Sectors ('Song About A Girl Who Killed Herself Yesterday'), as well as Tsuchiya Takafumi's video to the flip side, 'March Of Incurable Workaholic'. Also! The sombre soundscapes of Italy's Tempelhof can be heard on their myspace, as both songs from the upcoming painted one-sided 12", 'Leaving Home' and 'Cage' are up there. And! You may (or may not) want to check out the songs on The Big Oaks' page. Probably not, actually.

And that's yer lot for now. Stay with it,
distraction.x.
