13 Apr – Arctic Monkeys, Reverend and The Makers
I'd never been to Rock City in Nottingham before last night, but I'll be going again.
I wonder if it was the venue that was so good, or the performance given by Arctic Monkeys. I'm guessing it was probably a combination of both. They were so much better last night than when I saw them in Manchester in February though.
First support was Reverend and The Makers. The Reverend is class. And strangely attractive. The crowd were relatively quiet for their set although there were a few fans I spotted who were singing along. Myself included. I'd been looking forward to seeing Reverend since coming across them through this here site and I was dead chuffed to find they were supporting the Monkeys, I'd been looking forward to seeing them last night and I wasn't disappointed. They finished their set with He Said He Loved Me and it was a good one to finish on. A great little set.
I have no idea who the next support were. But they were crap and terribly emo. Bollocks to that.
Oh, here you go, they were actually called Little Flames.
Arctic Monkeys though, they rocked that place. Seriously. They opened with Riot Van and the rest of the setlist ran:

Man, they were awesome. The place was jumping last night. Fantastic.
I've woken up so sore this morning it hurts to move. But I wouldn't swap it for anything.
