Word up to your mother. Shadow was returning from his performance at Coachella in California when he decided to stop in Denver. His last solo performance in this town was 1997 during the Jeru the Damaja tour.
Lifesavas were cool opening. A little too positive message and not enough rhymes. They had a real stop-go feeling which was annoying at times. The DJ looked desperate for a lay.
Anyway, DJ Shadow was fucking sick. The last time I saw him was on the Quannum tour a few years ago. Fortunately for me, The Gift of Gab made a super special appearance with Alphabet Aerobics
and Deception.
Shadow did his sweet routine with about 4 tracks from his latest The Outsider. Notables included Midnight in a Perfect World, Organ Donor and Building Steam With a Grain of Salt. It was the best show I have been to in a year.
