I did this a few years ago. Since my top 50 has changed quite a bit in the last few years, I figured I'd do this again.

1. How did you get into #31? I saw Sarah Harmer's You Were Here album at Best Buy. For some reason, I was intrigued by the cover so I went home and sampled it on the internet. I liked what I heard, so I bought the album and everything else she released after that.

2. What was the first song you ever heard by #22? I've been listening to Sonic Youth since high school, so it is kind of hard of to pinpoint which song I heard first. I'm pretty sure it was Kool Thing. One of my classmates played it a music appreciation class I took my junior year of high school. It remains my favorite song by them.

3. What's your favorite lyric by #29?
I love a lot of Hole lyrics. But my favorite would have to be from Doll Parts. That song has always been my favorite from them and has always resonated with me.

4. What is your favorite album by #49? It would probably be a tie between The Smiths first album and The Queen is Dead. While I think The Queen is Dead is their best, I have always been drawn to The Smiths more.

5. How many albums by #13 do you own? I own all of Sleater-Kinney's full-length studio albums and one of their EPs.

6. What is your favorite song by #50? I've always really loved New Slang.

7. Is there a song by #4 that makes you sad? I find Chemo Limo to be absolutely devastating. It's hard for me to get through it without crying.

8. What is your favorite song by #15? Gone Sugaring

9. What is your favorite song by #5? I have a lot of favorite Ani songs, but the one I've always felt closest to is 32 Flavors. It's the one I can relate to the best and I adore the melody.

10. Is there a song by #6 that makes you happy? I'm not sure if any of Kate's songs make me super happy, but Kite always puts me in a good mood for some reason.

11. What is your favorite album by #40? I don't have many of Suzanne Vega's albums, but I love her greatest hits album RetroSpective: The Best Of Suzanne Vega to bits.

12. What is your favorite song by #10? I have a lot of favorite Joni songs, but the one I love to listen to all the time is Woodstock. While I don't think it is her best track or my favorite track lyrically, I find it so captivating, especially in terms of its melody.

13. What is a good memory you have involving #33? My favorite memory related to Siouxsie and the Banshees is probably rocking out to them while driving from work to campus last year. Their awesome music made the 2 and a half hour commute from work to school much more tolerable.

14. What is your favorite song by #37? Pedestal

15. Is there a song by #19 that makes you happy? Not particularly, but It's Oh So Quiet always cracks me up.

16. How many times have you seen #24 live? I've never seen Sarah McLachlan live, but I'm sure it would be a lovely show.

17. What is the first song you ever heard by #23? I can't remember that well but I think it was Sing.

18. What is your favorite album by #11? Garbage

19. Who is your favorite member of #1? Ummm Tori Amos is not a band, so I can't really answer that question lol.

20. Have you ever seen #14 live? I've never seen Elliott Smith live and unfortunately, I will never get the chance. :(

21. What is a good memory involving #45? I don't have a single good memory, but Poe's albums really helped me get through my angsty high school years. I used to listen to her albums all the time on my Discman when I was a teenager.

22. What is your favorite song by #16? I love so many of Emily Haines' songs, but the one that I love the most is The Lottery. Everything about it is perfect to me.

23. What is the first song you ever heard by #47? It's been so many years since I first listened to Portishead, but I think it was Glory Box. I heard it on a bunch of soundtracks years ago, so I'm pretty sure it was that one.

24. What is your favorite album by #21? That's a tough call. I like most of Juliana's albums, but the one I've always listened to the most is Bed.

25. What is your favorite song by #18? That's a really tough call because I love nearly all of Joanna's songs, but I always find myself returning to Sprout and the Bean.

26. What is the first song you ever heard by #38? I believe it was Snow Like This. I heard it on some blog and then purchased their self-titled album.

27. What is your favorite lyric by #3? That's a tough one since most of PJ Harvey's lyrics are brilliant, but my favorite lyrics have always been from Sheela-Na-Gig, specifically the line "I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair!"

28. What is your favorite song by #2? That's tough to answer since I love nearly all of Aimee's songs, but my favorite has always been You Could Make a Killing.

29. What is the first song you ever heard by #32? I believe it was Star Witness. I know that was the track that got me into her music.

30. What is your favorite song by #8? I love many Liz Phair songs, but I always love listening to Dance of the Seven Veils. I don't think it is her best song nor do they contain my favorite lyrics from her, but I just love listening to it.

31. How many times have you seen #17 live? I've never seen Rilo Kiley live, but I'd like to.

32. Is there a song by #44 that makes you happy? There really isn't a particular Le Tigre song that makes me happy, but Deceptacon sure puts me in a good mood and is a lot of fun to listen to.

33. What is your favorite album by #12? It is kind of a tie between The Reminder and Let It Die, but Let It Die is the first album I heard from her and contains my all-time favorite Feist songs, so I'll pick that one.

34. What is the worst song by #46? I love nearly all of Mazzy Star's songs, but there are a few I just can't get into. Umbilical is one of the few songs of theirs I just don't get. I'm not saying it is their worst and a lot of people love it. It's just one that I don't get. I'm not really into their organ-heavy songs for some reason.

35. What is the first song you ever heard by #34? I think it was Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl. I remember seeing a video for it on some indie music channel. I wasn't initially impressed with it, but eventually grew to love it and then bought all their albums.

36. What is your favorite album by #42? I love most of Joan Jett's stuff, so it is hard to choose one album. I often find myself listening to her Greatest Hits album the most. Since I love most of her body of work, it gives me a nice sample of her best stuff.

37. How many times have you seen #39 live? Unfortunately, I was too young when the Riot Grrrl movement was going on, so, sadly, I've never seen Bikini Kill live. I would have loved to have been able to though. Maybe I'll get to see Kathleen live in some capacity.

38. What is your favorite album by #36? I know it is not their best album, but my favorite Indigo Girls album has always been Come On Now Social. It was how I got into them and I love listening to most of the songs from it more than their others.

39. What is the first song you ever heard by #28? I've been listening to Radiohead since I was a teenager, so it's kind of hard to remember. I think it was Karma Police. I remember hearing it on one of those stupid Now compilations I used to buy when I was in Jr. High and the video really stuck with me at that time as well.

40. What is your favorite album by #7? I love them all, but my favorite has and always will be When the Pawn. I identify with each and every song.
