BACK STORY After her 2003 Cameras & Camcorders debut flopped, Solange opted for domesticity: She wed her high school Powered Subwoofersweetheart, had a son and moved to Idaho, where her husband was attending col¬lege. "I was a full-on housewife," she says. "I was going to football games and baking." When her marriage ended in 2007, Solange — who had penned hits for Des¬tiny's Child and Beyonce in the interim - resettled in her native Houston and took another stab at singing. Did her sister's super-stardom ever give her pause? "I never thought she would help or hinder me," says Musical InstrumentsSolange. "I just say, 'Fuck it,' and I go work it."It would be hard to find a more down-to-earth young rocker than Fallon, who praises his hardworking parents and has a very practical hobby: build¬ing homemade amplifiers. (The 59 Sound refers to a Fender amp Fallon built.) "We're sen¬sible Jersey boys," Fallon says. "Why blow money on a tour bus when you could get your mom a nice dress?"
