I've decided to retool and expand a previous journal of mine:

It seems absurd to suggest that a band as complex as Meshuggah can be summed up in just 12 words, but two lines from one of the band's own songs, "Lethargica," come closer than any essay-length articulation ever could:

The droning blare of absolute doom
The downpitched moan of collapsing dreams
