Pamela Joy
Pamela Joy is a singer/songwriter from Australia who shares stories of mercy and faith in neo-folk rock fusion. The music is acoustic and electronic fusion with a hint of eastern instrumentation. There is a gentle edge (acoustic guitar, harp, Japanese wind, etc…) but these sounds sometimes walk with dirty bass and industrial percussion. Profits from the hannah’s child album support survivors of human trafficking through Bloom Asia.

l'aparela
Songs coming soon from the l’aparela project, the sequel to the hannah’s child album. The name, l’aparela, is a made up word that is a combination of the word “apparel” and an Italian word “la parola” which means “the word”. The neo-folk rock fusion genre is exactly the result of these elements being in the same space. The challenge I love most is the process o…

hannah's child (2011 digital release with bonus track from l'aparela)
(2011 digital release with bonus track from l'aparela) Hannah’s Child is a collection of songs that are an expression of the things that caused me to kneel before my maker after being angry for so long. Some of the songs therefore are about running from God but eventually they lead to the point where I stop and turn to him instead of directing all of my anger towards the concept of God. The name of the album is based on the story in track 8 (Hannah) about a woman named Hannah who asked for a gift from God that she desperately wanted. But she promised God, that if he gave this gift, that she would give it back to serve his purposes. The album, therefore, is about seeing my life as this gift and giving it back to my maker to fulfil the reason why I was born. To further this idea of “giving back”, the album is dedicated to giving its profits to serve those in need. So far, it has been solely focused on supporting Bloom Asia, a Training Centre & Cafe in Cambodia for survivors of human …
