French Kicks
Great show from these guys last night; started out on the mellow and subdued side, then blew through the crowd like a bullet. Along with some past fan favorites, e.g. One More Time, some new and fairly decent material was thrown in the mix. The opening act was a band called the long shadows who struck me as kind of a cross between Constantines (vocals, guitar) and early NOFX (drumming, bass). That may sound a little strange, but it made for an energetic and feverishly toe-tapping opening set.
