I agree with that thought, and that's why I kind of hate the sudden emergence of action-RPGs. I love RPGs in general and action ones are no exception - I've probably played more action-RPGs than traditional ones even. But the button mashing of action games just seems kind of mindless. Of course there is strategy to it, but I think I just prefer the way it was done in the SNES/PS1 generation... or FFX. Sorry for double posting; I tend to rant on a lot. Oh, BTW, I decided to make my own account at Backloggery. Mostly done with it, I think, though I'm sure there are plenty of old games I've forgotten.

I use guides pretty frequently for my games, because I really don't like re-playing them - no matter how much I enjoy them. Yet I'm OCD about at least TRYING to 100% the game. Most user-submitted guides aren't perfect, but I've found they're still more detailed. Like the guide from Dragon Quest VIII - it was horrendous. Practically nothing better than a bunch of maps when it came to the actual walkthrough. I save guides on a folder in my computer anyway, for easy access and better organization. I've got a few PDF guides for FF games, but I had to pay money for them and they weren't even any better really. After that I figured it was better just to get them for free. Same thing happened to someone else I know, too. :\ He got a copy of FFVII (supposedly new) and disc 2 was scratched beyond playability. At least you got a refund for yours. Pretty good deal actually.

Haha me too! Metalcore is one of my favourite genres and actually i been listening to lots of it lately. There are really good bands out there, but sadly many sounds the same and boring. Last.fm helped me a lot at finding the bands i listen today. If not this website, my music taste would be much different. Your charts are great too bro!

I never buy strategy guides man. Well, not unless it's like a collector's edition guide or something... I got the collector's edition guides for XII and XIII. I find it more worthwhile to just use gamefaqs, which is free and often has more thorough guides than the "official" ones are. That's pretty crappy though. I would've been really pissed off if it was me, but more so that I'd have to spend money just to get a patch. That's nonsense. D: No, not enough money for a PS3. Though I have a friend sending me one here soon. I actually heard there are a lot of connections between CT and CC, just they're not very direct. And anyway, CT was an amazing game so I don't expect CC to be BETTER.... just good. I'm thinking you're more of an RPG fan than anything else, aren't you?

Oh I bet. Pushing carts is something I'd rather be doing than making sandwiches. xD One guy asked for 40 sandwiches...and we about died. Then the next person asked for 10 and she said she wanted them in 5 minutes...uhhhhhh...we're not Dumbledore...we can't make stuff poof out of no where. DX

Oh god I know how that feels. We get so behind b/c of the order line, and we only have 1-2 sandwich makers...but one of them has to do fries and chicken, and the other is by themselves. Customers don't really understand that's it harder than it looks to prepare a meal of about 10 sandwiches. :/

Yep. PS2 and PSP are both really great at that. For example, I got Crisis Core for 10 bucks... Star Ocean (remake) is on sale for 10 dollars right now too at Amazon. I usually wait for games to age enough to drop a lot in price, then I'll pick them up. And yes, FF is the one exception. Let me put it this way: I pre-ordered FFXIII, yet I STILL don't have a PS3. Backloggery does look pretty awesome, BTW. I'm really impressed with your list of games. lol 202 games, right? You've got over twice what I do. I only own around 70 games, though that does not include all the ROMs I've played... Would ya say it's as good as Chrono Trigger then? Trying to decide if I should start on Chrono Cross, Shadow of the Colossus, or Tales of the Abyss first. Haven't touched any of them yet.

Same here pretty much. Again, money is a pretty big issue for me when it comes to affording new games. I've not played Legend of Dragoon, which is a shame given all the opinions I've witnessed praising it. I honestly could only play Chrono Trigger via ROM... same with Secret of Mana, which I never beat. Lost my save file and lost my motivation for the game. I own like 4 different versions of FFIV, and still don't have them all. :\ There's a game that's been remade way too freaking much. Playing through the PSP version off and on right now, actually. Oh, I happen to have a copy of Chrono Cross laying around too. Unopened, lol. If you've played it, what's your opinion on it?

Yeah, I agree and do the same. Honestly, the entertainment industry is expecting everybody to be filthy rich these days or something. I'm not sure it's possible to buy all the music I'd like, as well as all the games, movies, and anime (yes, I love anime) without being filthy stinkin' rich. Anyway, since you're apparently 31 years old, why then do you have to worry about what to get? I'm sure you have no reason to listen to your parents' opinion on your music anymore. lol And yeah. I loved Chrono Trigger A LOT. The 90s - that was the golden age of the video game industry, IMO. At least when it comes to RPGs. So many amazing ones were put out on the SNES alone, more than I could even play. Yay for emulation.

Honestly, I kind of understand. I mean, I stay away from any bands that promote Satanism (even in a satirical way) and whatnot, because it is simply so much against my beliefs. And I doubt I'd let my children listen to anything that does as well. As well, clothing is actually very hard to return unless there is something wrong with it.... but yeah, his mother did not handle it appropriately in my opinion either. I would've returned the shirt and kept the money for myself. XD But, if I may ask, why would you DL before purchasing? Also, VI is the best IMO as well. Tactics follows VERY closely behind, though. Why, I'd even say they're my two favorite games.

I am a huuuuuge FF fan - actually, VII isn't even my favorite. This just happens to be the best picture I can find. And yeah, I know what you mean. Like I said, I am very religious... and the more religious I get, the more I realize most Christians do not know the Bible and do not know their own religion. All of them seem to forget the concept of love and forgiveness, and narrow-mindedly quote a select few verses from the Bible which are about judgment while forgetting the rest of what Jesus taught. Honestly though, I find the exact same thing (sometimes even worse) out of people of other religions - including atheism (which I consider a religion). I actually had to stop talking to one of my best friends because his attitude became too much for me to tolerate anymore. Anyway, which chatroom was this? I can't seem to find any Christian metal fans at all - at least, not any fans of "true" metal.... whatever that is. Mostly core and mainstream stuff.
