Okay, I'm writing some of my observations about the new Last.fm and its shortcomings. I'm not commenting much on features I didn't previously use. This entry will be growing…

1. The drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner!!!!½½§ Ugh, that does help to reduce the top bar vertically but adding clicks is very annoying.
2. Playlists are subscriber-only.

The rest are in no particular order.

3. Too much white space between site elements.
4. Group descriptions aren't shown entirely on the main group page and I can't figure out how to see the whole description.
5. Icons are show for artists despite the setting "no images" when I'm browsing. And I can't disable the library on my main page.
6. I can't see neighbours without clicking
7. I can't see the shoutbox without scrolling (not that I used it much)
8. Recent tracks are shown with two lines each.
9. In general, additional clicks! Writing a new journal requires more clicks, getting to settings requires more clicks (see 1.)
10. Charts restricted to around 200 items (as compared to earlier 500) UPDATE: They should return to 500 in near future.
11. In groups, the same number is show for members, pending members and banned users. This is really a bug, though.
12. The big player on pages. I blocked it immediately.

13. Only ten groups per page on the groups page.
14. The compose box is small. This should be fixed next week.

As a reference, I link to my stored profile page at archive org. It's from 2006 and the layout isn't correct and I had listened to Mozart with long track names but… I think that was close to ideal.
